Bomber127 0
Hi, I purchased EHAM a couple of days ago but I'm getting a 'problem loading' warning at every start up. I've attached the log but I'm not smarty enough to sort it myself! Also in the stock laminar EHAM there was a little moving ground traffic, but there's nothing at all with this paid version. the airport looks lifeless - can I fix this? Thanks in advance, Steve Please login to display this image. Log.txt
Administrator Heinz Flichtbeil 1608 Posted July 10, 2021 Administrator Share Posted July 10, 2021 Hello Sir, the Issue Message is a small problem with this older Airport (EHAM) and the newest X-Plane 11 (11.53, 11.55 ...). You can easy fix it : The faulty file is "lchtstrknd.obj" The file can be opened with a simple text editor (for example the Windows Editor). It is located in the folder "<your x-plane folder>/Custom Scenery/Aerosoft - EHAM Airport Amsterdam/custom objects/EHAM/" There is one line in the file (towards the end): LIGHTS 0 5 Simply comment them out with #. So enter : # LIGHTS 0 5 Save the file again. Then the error message is gone. With the Log file I see , that your SAM Plugin is outdated. The actual version 2.2.8 (you have 2.2.5). Best Way is to use the SAM2 Suite for installing the SAM Base Plugin (and the freeware Extensions). See here for more infos: https://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/151811-sam2-suite/ Greets Heinz
Bomber127 0
Thank you Heinz, I downloaded a small app called notepad ++ to make the edit and the message has indeed disappeared. I have Sam Suite 2 and made the updates. But there is no ground traffic at all ( there was some with the stock airport). Rather disappointing for payware, I don't think its unreasonable for customers to expect it to work 'out of the box'. Appreciate your help, Regards - Steve
Administrator Heinz Flichtbeil 1608 Posted July 11, 2021 Administrator Share Posted July 11, 2021 Hello Steve, thank for the info that the error message is gone. This sounds good ... But Amsterdam EHAM is an older airport. Developed for X-Plane 10 and when X-Plane 11 came out updated to run with X-Plane 11 too.. You can also read and see that on our store page. But X-Plane 11 is still developing. Therefore not all new XP11 features are included. Also the Airprt EHAM is not compatible programmed for the new SAM Plugin. Whether the developers will update again, I can not say. More likely is that EHAM will be completely redeveloped at some point. But for that I don't have infos at the time.... Sorry for that.
