I have a problem with the updater in that it will not recognise MSFS 2020. When I run it  I am met with add-on.xml folder does not exist. It used to work but something has gone wrong. Your help will be much appreciated, thankyou.

Just to add a little  more,  this is what updater actually says : F:\MSFS 2020\community\add-on.xml folder does not exist!
*** This product will be ignored! ***

I am still getting nowhere with the updater (1.6.0.1) which, of course, it means that I cannot update to the latest version of the CRJ.

Good Afternoon,

Unfortunately, despite my efforts I am unable to update the CRJ for MSFS using ASUpdater. I went through existing topics (concerning the ASUpdater issues) and disabled Microsoft Defender & Firewall (no third party AV, I had a Malwarebytes few months ago but got rid off it (including their Support Tool to clean up the registry)).  MSFS copy I use was obtained via Gamepass subscription, while CRJ is sourced from Aerosoft Shop.

I have also reinstalled the MSFS (root cause was issue with Microsoft Store, but this is another story), but it didn't help.

I will be grateful for help - I am still flying with 1.03 (with double throttle setting to override the earlier issues)

ASUpdater obtained together with CRJ installation from Aerosoft Shop has completely blank window which shuts down after few seconds.

I am using version:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

<!-- DO NOT MODIFY THIS FILE! -->
<ASUpdater Installed="1.6.0.1"/>

Sir, a new build is good, but what about other products? Aerosoft Updater currently does not see any installed products for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

It's right there in front of you: Your installation path contains characters that the .NET Framework function Path.CheckInvalidPathChars deems invalid and therefore throws this error.

Can you give me the complete (!) path to your MSFS installation please?

Sure

It is quite short: H:\fs

Edit:

I just had an idea - maybe it is related to directory of GamePass copy which is kind of bizarre.

My problem has been resolved. I run my MSFS and booted to CRJ. After that Aerosoft Updater saw all installed Aerosoft products.
