Weird bug entering crz alt in the FMS causes sim to hang. Any ideas?

Everything loads in fine. battery, power, IRS. But When doing perf I set the weights in the EFB and when I enter the CRZ ALT in the fms, I get immediate latency and fps goes to about 10 and stays there.

Any idea what could be causing it? I reproduced it ~5 times and its the second I hit the soft key entering the crz alt, it immediately hangs up and never recovers.

I tried deleting all the "m" files. Looking for some help. Cheers

Before latest update I set Fxxx and it's works very well. I don't tested updated version yet.

Try adjusting the MFD map range to the largest value (showing the entire route, or as much as possible). That seems to reduce the lag, at least on my end.

If I set the range to the minimum, the sim freezes and my CPU goes to 11.

I have this problem as well. Hitting EXEC does the trick, but only if the sim does not freeze first ofcourse.

The problem seems to have been around for a while in different flavours.

My understanding is that the common denominator is changes that affect the whole, or several waypoints/variables in the entered FP.

when I change the runway in the CRJ in LEPA from 06 to 24 the FPS drops from 35 to 12 when pressing EXEC it is back to normal but as soon as I want to change SIDS the sim freezes 3 FPS MSFS can no longer be quit even with task manager helps only POWER button reset the PC

Nope. The CRJ FMS (sim and real world) accepts "Fxxx" as a flight level entry. You don't need to put "FL". You can if you wish but it's an extra and unnecessary step.

Please don't hijack an unrelated thread on entering alitudes. Search for a clearly related one and if there isn't one, then open a new one.

Apologies. I was offering advice and after searching for related issues, I pointed to other threads I assumed were dealing with the same underlying problem.

Can you please clarify in which way I hijacked the thread?

I keyed in on your "I have this problem as well statement" (seemingly referring to lag/latency) and it not particularly linking to the OP's cruise entry CTD. After reviewing your response, I can see where you were indeed tying to help with what's likely a related issue though not the core one. So yes, it really isn't piggybacking as I first believed, and you have my apology. I also hid my earlier post to you.
