In the last few days we got some emails and phone calls from UK customers that are upset about additional costs to have their order delivered. 

 

Now without making this topic political, those costs are a direct result of the UK leaving the EU. We do not get a single penny of those additional charges. Nothing. We do not know how high they will be and why they are charged to some customer and not others. These additional costs are paid to the UK government in the form of tax and duties and explained here: https://www.gov.uk/goods-sent-from-abroad/tax-and-duty

 

Again we have zero influence on this. You pay us for the product and we ship it. If we are forced to ask VAT we'll do so, if not we'll not do so.  If it is to a customer inside the EU, that will be all they pay. For a customer outside the EU the government of the receiving country made its own rules on how to charge the taxes and how much to charge for handling the shipment.  Totally and utterly out of our control.  If you want to know what invoice you can expect from the shipping company or the courier, it is best to contact them.  We are at this moment unable to give estimates. 

 

But one last time, do not be angry at us, it is a direct result of leaving the EU.  If you voted Leave, just be glad that it provided new jobs to thousands of people in the UK that handle these things for the companies that deliver the packages. If you voted Stay, well you probably know who to talk to. But please, do not be angry at us.
