David Opderbeck 1
I don't know if I'm messing this up, but: trying to practice landings. Set up a flight 20 min or so out of either Newark or Orlando. Enter ILS runway. Put in nav radio data. In Approach mode, it lines me up way to once side (Newark) or crosswise (Orland) with the runways I let AP fly the Orland approach and it "landed" me perpendicular to the runway into a grove of trees. Am I doing something completely wrong or is the computer off?

Aerosoft Aerosoft Team [Inactive Account] 51558 Posted May 10, 2021 Aerosoft Share Posted May 10, 2021 That looks like the navdata base has the runway in a different location then the scenery.
Puuhbear 114
When in LOC you also need to set a course IIRC. On EDDB the final course to RW25L is 247°. Yours is set to 0° If you fly the approach with your NAV source set to FMS the course will be determined automatically. So you might want to try it in FMS mode. Also the LOC frequency is entered automatically. No need to enter it manually.

Thanks -- this is what I was thinking. Is this something I can correct?
