jbhasker 0
Hi: I am a newbie to this version of aircraft. Quick question: I have trouble holding altitude on autopilot - it keeps cancelling every time I turn using joystick. I would expect the plane to hold altitude even while turning. Is this a bug or a feature? PS: The default FSX CRJ does not show this behavior. Bhasker
Hoffie3000 96
Sounds normal for me - if I understand your question right. If AP is on and you move joystick or a yoke AP disconnect. The EFB has an option were you can change the sensitivity. But normally if AP is on use the HDG mode for turnings
Chaxterium 119
You cannot have the autopilot on while using the joystick. That's like pressing the brake pedal and gas pedal at the same time. If you want to use the autopilot to hold altitude but still be able to turn the aircraft manually then you need to use HDG mode. And if the FSX CRJ allows you to turn using the joystick while the autopilot is engaged then it is programmed incorrectly. The plane (I'm talking about the real plane in the real world) is designed to disengage the autopilot when the flight controls are manipulated by the pilot. This is a safety feature. It's not a bug.
