CRJ installation issue

Mario Reed

Recommended Posts

Hi, I bought the CRJ addon last Sunday from Aerosoft and I have not been able to install it correctly.

I have the Steam version of MSFS and it is installed on drive D.

By default the installer places the CRJ files on drive C.

How can I solve this?

My apologies but I'm not very good at this, I'm only good at flying.

Thank you in advance.

Best regards

Hi,
we use the C:\ drive to use a SYM link.

I would be very interested in the summary before the copying process. You are welcome to send me this information once.

I will send you an email for a setup without SYM-LINK. Please use this.

Please can I also have details as to how to set up without a sym-link.  I prefer to keep my add ons on a separate SSD drive and then use the addon linker to link to the drive with MSFS.  However as the present time it does not give me that option.

Hi, sorry but the SYM-LINK you sent me doesn't solve my problem.  The files of this SYM-LINK were installed in C:\User\My Name\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_<Randomletters>\LocalCache\Packages\Community  but my Steam version of MSFS is located in my D:\  drive.

Looking in my Virtual File System under Watched Bases I have the following,

C:\PROGRAM FILES (x86)\STEAM\STEAMAPPS\COMMON\MICROSOFTFLIGHTSIMULATOR\PACKAGES

D:\FS2020\Official\Steam

D:\FS2020\Community

Please give some ideas to try to solve this problem....I hope I can enjoy flying this great plane this weekend.

Thank you

From C drive copy folder named

aerosoft-crj

and paste to

D:\FS2020\Community

 or  use msfs addon linker

https://flightsim.to/file/1572/msfs-addons-linker

My c drive does not allow me to copy the aerosoft files. I need to find a way of moving the aerosoft files from my community folder c drive onto a ssd and then use the addon linker so as to free up space. So is there anyway of doing this please

Do you have any other working mods or liveries?

Your need to find the community folder for your Flightsimulator and place the aerosoft-crj folder inside.

The folder has the community folder aswell as the official folder inside.

It should look someting like this:

A couple of hours ago I paid for a new download for this aircfrat on the MSFS marketplace and it works perfect.

By the way, is installed in  DATA D:\FS2020\Official\Steam   and not in the Community folder.

It´s a shame that I have paid twice for this product.

Now I hope I can enjoy it.

Thank you all anyway

I'm sorry to hear that.

And yes everything bought on the marketplace is installed into the official folder.

I hope you will enjoy the aircraft after all :)
