Auf besonderen Wunsch habe ich noch einmal einen Flug zum Aletschgletscher unternommen. diesmal mit der  Pilatus PC-6 Tubo Porter. Ich habe die Skier untergeschnallt und bin auf dem Gletscher gelandet.

Was ist das für ein Gefühl, wenn man landen will, und der Boden sich dem Flieger entzieht?  🙂

In der Realität ist eine Schneelandung wie eine Wasserlandung. Wenn man keinen Bezugspunkt hat, an dem man sich orientieren kann, wird es schwierig die Höhe über Grund abzuschätzen. Aber die PC-6 hat einen Radarhöhenmesser, der die Höhe über Grund ziemlich genau anzeigt und somit eine sehr große Hilfe ist!
