Not able to make a purchase

Hi!

I am trying to buy a couple of sceneries for MSFS, but get an error at checkout (Verification code should be 4 digits).

Trying to pay with a mastercard, but the store insists using a 4 digit CVC code.

My Mastercard and Visa has only 3 digits. Why is this?

 

Edit: I tried again with a VISA card. That one was accepted. However, after going through the safety check (PSD2,) the website sends me back to my shopping chart, and the credit card details are wiped out.

 

Edit 2: I emptied the shopping chart and restarted the PC. Tried again with Mastecard. This time it accepted 3 digits, and the order went through. Dodgy and strange behaviour.
