I've been trying to perform RNAV approach with CRJ 550 on FS 2020 but I couldn't find a way to start a descent after the FAF. I tried to use V/S but it doesn't work properly, sometimes it shows like I reached the managed altitude and other times, when I select Missed Approach Altitude, it doesn't follow the vertical speed I select. John2 196 Posted March 21, 2021 Share Posted March 21, 2021 Just did an RNAV appr (RNAV 24R at CYUL) and APPR mode didn't seem to work but I used LNAV/VNAV and set the minimum altitude and it seemed to work ok. Romeu 0 Posted March 21, 2021 Author Share Posted March 21, 2021 The problem when you set the MDA as target altitude is that you can't set Missed Approach Altitude because it will level off when you pass your current altitude with Alt Knob.
