Installation problem when using Windows 10 default settings for protected folders

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Not sure this is the right forum, but wanted to call out that the installer wants to install files into folders that by default are restricted when using Windows 10 and Protected Folders (which I think comes by default with Win 10?)

I continuously got installation errors due to the installer attempting to write into my Documents folder, and with it not being allowed by default. I'm not sure why flight sim add-ons differs from regular DLC content we all install via Steam / Epic , but matter of fact appears that plug-ins do ask for insecure installations and compromise of PC security, which of course is a no-go. Almost assuming there's a modelling issue in the sim.
