AutoBrake -FSUICP problem

Featured Replies

Hi there,

I was fast in buying the Autobrake Program but stuck now because I have

the following problem:

When asked to open the FSUICP menu I assumed this done through

FS2004 (in my case).

I opened the menu but only part of the text is visable.

How can I resize the menu window so everything will show?

Because of this I"m not able to program my joystick.

Anybody?

Thank you !

Just make a screen shot, so it is easier when we can see what you see.

Need some help there making the printscreen, sorry

- Just do your problem screen

- press "Print Screen" Key, beside F12 key

- open e.g. Windows Paint program

- open a new pic and select "Insert"

- save this jpg file and copy it to the message as jpg file

Ah, I remember someone had the same problem (in Peter Dowson's Forum), but cannot remember what has been the problem.

What resolution do you use in FS, I think it had to do with that (but not sure).

May be best to ask Pete direct about this.

  • Author

My resolution is 1280x1024 in FS

I know I should go to Pete's Forum but I have Password problem that I

hopefully will be solved tomorrow.

Thank you very much for your dedicated help and enjoy.

Just found it !!

This tends to happen because of two things, probably together:

1. A non-standard version of "comctl32.dll has been installed, probably by a video driver, which is, in fact, not really compatible with your version of Windows. Restoring the correct one from the Windows install disks might help, but you have to do this after a fresh boot before any program starts using the library, which is a bit tricky. I think there's a method of doing it using Wndows facilities but I can't find it at present.

2. A non-standard larger font has been selected in your screen properties. Right-click on some empty part of the screen, select Properties--Appearance. Set the "Font Size" to "Normal".

In actual fact, because FSUIPC uses 100% standard Windows dialogue facilities, and doesn't set any of its window sizes or fonts explicitly, the Windows libraries are supposed to scale the Window to match the fonts, every time, 100%. That's why I believe you have an incorrect, mismatched standard library installed.

Pete

And the Customer answer

... Custom font was set ...
  • Author

Thomas hi,

Well the solution from Pete is one I will not consider because I will end up formatting my disc, not a option.

The font is set to normal so also here no solution.

I need the 8 position setup (PMDG744) my default Airplane.

Is there a way around this all and do a setup through some files?

Anyway You have been more than helpfull so thanks and if there is

no way around this, let it be.

Regards Carel

Before formatting I would try

- make a copy of the FS9.cfg

- delete the FS9.cfg

- start FS, it creates a new FS9.cfg

May be it will help.

  • Author

Thomas , even windows search program did not find the FS9.cfg.

Where is the file situated? other than the main FS9 directory?

FS2Crew anything to do with this?

Thanks, Carel

In the end all well.

Pete Dowson told me to do a repair install of the O.S. and it was simple

and effective, job done.

So again Thank you .
