GaryMcCl 17
I'm sorry for being stupid, but since I took-off here, the aircraft hasn't followed the flight-plan. If you see the pic, you'll must be able to see that the aircraft keeps simply not following the plan. Should the 'dot' be there to it can catch the path? So far that hasn't worked. Other than making the line in the ND (by making the reading "---*") solid, it still doesn't work (as you can can see on the pic). I cross the solid line, with the ND set to "---*", but that doesn't help. It's like it's missed it.
Polo 146
You can read your FMA in PFD . There you can know you truly mode active or armed. Autopilot windows not always shows all picture.
samwise7 37
As Polo said, there isn't enough information in your picture to help answer your question, and from your replies I can only assume you aren't sure what is meant by FMA. The FMA (flight mode annunciators} is the top horizontal strip along the top of the primary flight display (the display to the left of the navigation display in your picture}. There is where you can see how the autopilot is commanding your aircraft. Also you should show the MCDU flight plan to make sure that is correctly programed. GaryMcCl 17
1. I am about to taxi - no problems: 2. Ready to TO1 3. before TO, more info 4. taking off - AP not on yet 5. ap ON, but not following HDG 6. ignores that it has reached heading set in HDG. When reaching HDG path, it switches to ---*, but it doesn't change it's path, it just keeps going where the HDG was previously set to. Please login to display this image. GaryMcCl 17
Can anyone help? - I just can't get the HDG to the guiding the plane when I always have in the past.
Deputy Sheriffs masterhawk 799 Posted February 24, 2021 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted February 24, 2021 Ah, that nasty bug. Hard to recreate for us. I had it myself several times. When airborne perform an DIR TO to the next wpt, and HDG will work again. The reason for that bug is a special combination of order during flight setup. If you have a 100% recreatable order of steps, please post. Maybe we will finally be able to track it down.

As soon as I can, I'll let you know how that goes. Gaz

SeaJunk 8
A few of us have hit this before You can fix it on the ground by reloading/toggling the aircraft state or in the air with the DIR to method. Sorry I didnt see your post earlier. I encountered this again today in the A321 (1.4.2.0) and fixed it in the air.
