d3d10warp.dll error with A319 and CTD

Recommended Posts

Good afternoon,

I've had the above mentioned error happen twice now. Once was during a flight yesterday. The A319 was in the air on AP flying between VCBI and WMKL. I stepped away from the computer for a couple minutes. When I returned the sim had closed and I was back looking at my desktop. Second was this afternoon. I had just programed the MCDU and was waiting for the boarding process to finish (fuel, passengers, and cargo). Next thing I know P3D had closed. Upon checking the event viewer, I saw that it was the same error as yesterday: faulting module path: C:\windows\system32\d3d10warp\prepar3d.exe. My video drivers are up to date - checked with GeForce Experience (version 461.40 released on 1/26/21).

I was able to fly multiple flights earlier this week and last with no issues. I was flying the 737 and didn't see this error turn up. This was my first flight with the Aribus in a few weeks. I have updated to the most recent version (v 1.4.2.0). I checked last night and I am pretty sure that I have the most recent version of DirectX installed and running (DirectX 12). I can't find a version to download as I think Windows updates this automatically now. I am running P3D v4.5. I also had GSX and Chaseplane running in the background. I was at a default airport (VCBI). I have Active Sky running as well as UT2 for my traffic. I have seen others having this issue, but it was with the A330. I understand that it isn't happening to everyone otherwise there would be more of us having this issue. Below please find the report from Aerosoft Version Info.

Thank you for your time.

Quick Update. Managed a full flight this afternoon. Only change I made was something that had been suggested earlier. Unchecking the box named: Force ECAM Software Rendering seems to have helped. I will try a couple more flights tomorrow to see if that was all that was needed.

thanks.

rowcoach thanks for the tip

I confirm the above problem. I will not clutter the forum with screenshots and error reports.
Exactly the same error appeared after the last update on the A330, I haven't tried it on the A320 yet. All the latest libraries and everything else is installed. Dear developers, please explain the meaning of this setting Force ECAM Software Rendering and what it affects?

System:
CPU Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-9900K CPU @ 3.80GHz
GPU NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080Ti (3440 x 1440 144Hz)
GPU Driver 457.30
RAM 32GB @ 3200MHz
Microsoft Windows 10 19042.789

With respect, Andrew

And I strongly suggest to update your Windows to the latest version. There is definitely no reason not to do so,

Mainly meant for users having old hardware. Latest versions of P3D make use of a strong GPU.
