FSX SE: A320/A321 Freezes Upon Loading

Hello,

About 2 months ago, I had purchased the FSX Steam A320/A321 addon by Aerosoft, and all had worked perfectly. Then just a couple day ago, I purchased the A318/A319 directly from Aerosoft's website. However, since installing and flying it, whenever I would load an A321, and after FSX completes it's loading for the flight, the simulator freezes and nothing can be done. Anybody know a solution or has experienced something like this? Thank you!

Please run the ASUpdater and check what versions are shown for the the Buses.

Also the exact error message would be helpfull. Please check the Windows Eventviewer for an entry at the time of the crash.

I believe everything is updated; the FSX:SE version updates automatically, however, I cannot find the ASUpdater anywhere in the files, even after reinstalling the A318/A319.

Could you explain how to work the Windows Eventviewer while FSX runs? The simulator doesn't crash, but rather has extremely poor frame rates and is extremely choppy (takes about 10 seconds for the screen to reload every time), and makes it impossible to perform any actions in the sim. Thank you!

There is no ASUpdater for the FSX version, the updater came out well after the FSX project closed down (about 10 years ago) and only the P3Dv4/v5 version has the ASUpdater.  The latest version for the software you are using is version 1.31.

If you are not familiar with using the Windows Event Viewer you can either Google "How to use Windows Event Viewer" or you can instead use a very simply application that does most all the word for you, called AppCrashView.  When you have a CTD, simply start AppCrashView and go to the last crash (it should show Prepar3d if the crash if there was crash data... there sometimes isn't).  You can copy and past all the info from AppCrashView to a post here in our forum.

I hope this is helpful to you my friend.

Best wishes.
