Heavy FPS drop at EGCC at night

Recommended Posts

Hi, thanks for an excellent and good looking scenery.

I do however believe there is an issue with some light attributes on some objects causing the frames to drop. I will try to illustrate this, but

I would urge the developer to try and reproduce it too.

1. Gate 49 will work as a base value for this case.

As you can see, the fps is normal at least for me, showing excess of 50 fps with the Zibo Mod 3.44.10 as used in this test

2. Switching to gate 54 (This also applies to gate 51 and nearby gates

As you can see, frames drop by half

Please login to display this image.

3.  Switching to day at gate 51 (same for 54)

As you can see, the frames are back

This support my initial idea for where to start checking, lights attribute in objects, this may not be compatible with X-Plane 11.50 running on Windows 10.

Hope this can be reproduced and hopefully fixed.

Again, thanks for the scenery

Cheers

Tom Knudsen

Hi Tom,

this is a know issue and we are currently beta testing a new version fixing this (and bringing lost of other changes, thus the beta testing is required). If you can live with some missing backyard lighting there is a workaround solving the performance impact:

Hope you get this working.

🙂
