Andreas Janssen 9
Andreas Janssen ============================================================================================================================= Hello, for my installed version of MSFS 2020 i want to transfer the community file from drive C:/ to another drive; for example G:/. There is more free space on G:/ than in C:/. Here the actual Path for the community file: C/Benutzer/andre/AppData/Local/Packages/Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe/LocalCache/Packes Is it enough to transfer only the community file? Or must i transfer also the official file? Or at least transfer the whole packages file? I have read the microsoft manual for this topic; but i have problem to follow this guide. Can someone help me to transfer the community file to be strictly correct? Andreas Janssen
Deputy Sheriffs mopperle 4162 Posted November 28, 2020 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted November 28, 2020 I think you are talking about the community folder. There is no community file. And what exactly do you not understand in the guide from Microsoft?
Andreas Janssen 9
Hello, yes, you are right. Of course i mean the community folder. the suggestion was to change the path of the UserCFG.opt from C:/ to the requested new path (in my case that was G:/). Must I create additional now a new path at G: like "G:/user/andre/AppData/Local/Packages/Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe/LocalCache/Packes"? In which way the content of C:/User/andre/AppData/Local..... transfer to G:/ ? I must transfer them manually correct? And in future the new incoming addons goes directly to drive G:/ - right?
