EGLL looks ugly — installation error?

Greetings.

I've recently bought the Aerosoft EGLL scenery (just in time for CTP 2020, so did not have the time to test it beforehand). Upon arrival, I discovered two issues with the scenery:

• paved surfaces look unnatural;
• the terrain scenery that underlays the paved surfaces is very low-res and looks outright ugly.

 

Compare: X-Plane default airport (no orthoscenery or overlays), freeware KBOS (freely available orthoscenery also installed for this region) and Aerosoft EGLL (two screenshots; OrbX scenery for this region is installed but apparently not even used).

Even the default textures around one of the default X-Plane airports look better than the underlay textures of the EGLL.

Is my setup broken?

Technically that's fine, the scenery currently looks like this and the ortho ground has no decals and thus look somewhat blurry, the same is true for the paved ground. There is no installation error and technically this is correct but the EGLL scenery is quite old and would benefit from an update fur sure.
