[East Frisian Islands] Ground Texture Artefacts

Hi,

it would be beneficial if you could track the ground textures for artefacts and graphically remove them:

- Eastern end of Langeoog (overflying aircraft)

Please login to display this image.

- Baltrum (wind turbine - one of many across the islands)

Please login to display this image.

Regards,

Stefan

Welcome to the Aerosoft forums.  Your question is a good one. The top picture is most likely a contrail caught by the aerial photo, and it's a safe bet that the ground shadow and oblique view of the wind turbine is present everywhere there's a wind turbine. That's one unavoidable aspect of photoreal scenery backgrounds. However, it would require manually "digitally painting" out any artifacts to achieve what you're asking about. For the wind turbine and shadow, there are dozens, and for each one, since sun and photo angle makes almost every one different, an automated solution isn't likely. While somehow removing the artifacts would indeed be "beneficial", the cost of doing so would add greatly to the cost of the scenery.

This isn't just an Aerosoft issue, as it affects any tall object in any photo background in anybody's scenery, including the default. The higher the resolution, the more apparent it is.
