Downloading issues from disks

Hi

I purchased this in good faith that the download would be straightforward and reasonably easy to download as per other aerosoft products. I am a fan or aerosoft so this pains me.

I purchased A318/A319 and A320/A321 along with A330 on disk.

I did not want to purchase something that caused a lot of issues when I downloaded it so that it ended up causing problems in Prepar3dv4 and it did I have looked at all the answers given by key members of aerosoft staff and quite frankly they are rubbish. We are the customers not them and yet they advise us to to do this and that when in fact the problem stems from their installers. I do not want a product that does not download properly to be advised like a child that it should be done this way or that way. I have spent over the years several hundreds of Euros on their software and generally it has been fine but please do not put a smokescreen over the issues with the current software. it is not fit for purpose and should be updated asap.

Thanks

After reading a lot of information on the forum the following steps worked (for me) in downloading Aerosoft A3XX.

These points have been gleaned from the following ( many thanks):

Deputy sheriff – Mopperle

Steps as follows Based on Windows 10)

  • Turn computer on.
  • Click on Windows administrative tools
  • Click on Registry Editor
  • Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System in the registry.
  • Modify Enablel UA from 1 to 0
  • Restart PC
  • Turnoff virus and threat protection
  • Create a new folder outside P3D main folder with name like …\Addon Aerosoft.
  • Download Aerosoft A3XX
  • Right click on installer and “Run as administrator”
  • When being asked to install point to folder you have just created …\Addon Aerosoft
  • Then download the file.
  • After downloading click on Windows Administrative Tools and go back to Registry Editor.
  • Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System in the registry.
  • Modify Enablel UA from 0 to 1
  • Restart PC
  • Turnon virus and threat protection.
  • Load up P3D
  • Once loaded you will find that all has been loaded correctly in aircraft folder for A3XX.

I apologise to Aerosoft for my initial comment and should have had the intelligence to hold this back until I had read things on the forum properly.

The above although long winded and you should not really have to do this with a new piece of expensive software, it does work and if this helps anyone I am happy for that.
