Airac Navigraph and Simbrief

Recommended Posts

I've seen a few threads here that look like they were dealing with V4 instead of V5.  Two simple questions:

1. What directory should I point simbrief  downloader to for CRJ pro V5 flightplans?

2. What directory should i point navigraph FMS Data manager to for airac data?  The auto scan isn't picking this plane up.

thanks.

Finally something I can answer :)

1. C:\Users\<Your Name>\Documents\Aerosoft\Aerosoft CRJ Pro v5\FlightPlans

2. The data needs to end up in "<Aerosoft CRJ Pro v5 installation folder>\Data\NavData". However, the automatic selection points to "F:\P3D4 Add-ons" on my PC. This seems a bit weird. I would have thought it would be "F:\P3D5 Add-ons\Aerosoft CRJ Professional\Data" or something similar. When in doubt, you can still install to a dummy location like "C:\TEMP" and move the navdata files to the right folder from there.

The missing link to this is - In the new V5 installer, what is the location of <Aerosoft CRJ Pro v5 installation folder>\ ??? It is sure not very obvious. In my installation, no matter where I put the Navdata, the FMC still displays the default nav data base.

C:\P3Dv5 Addons\Aerosoft CRJ Pro v5\Data

That is the path I have set in the Navigraph FMS Data Manager, and it works.

thanks guys.  for whatever reasons it goes into that data folder but then creates a whole new file structure repeating the previous structure.  So it goes deep into redundant file structure if that makes sense.  I ended up just copying that folder it created back to where it belongs.  Not ideal, but it works.
