jcalvert 0
A320 Pro for P3dv5 installs into C:\P3dv5 add-ons folder, not the folder which all the other add-ons use which is in the documents folder at C:\Users\Username\Documents\Prepar3D v5 Add-ons. The aircraft load into P3dv5 fine, and fly well. Is this normal? It means that the ASUPDATER points to there as well. Is this an installation problem or a problem with the installation software? I turned off windows virus checker when I installed the software.
Developer Hans Hartmann 3694 Posted July 2, 2020 Developer Share Posted July 2, 2020 (Moving this to the A320 forum as it's not related to the updater) It's no problem at all. You can install the A320 (almost) wherever you want. This is due to the fact that it makes use of Prepar3D's new add-on system. In general, the Aerosoft installers will remember your first selection and it will then be pre-selected for every other Aerosoft installer. The updater will find the add-on's location no matter where it is. *) the only locations where you shouldn't install add-ons are C:\Program Files, C:\Program Files (x86) and the Prepar3D folder. Other than that, it's your choice where you want to install it.
Deputy Sheriffs masterhawk 799 Posted July 3, 2020 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted July 3, 2020 And as the Aerosoft installers are self registering the addon, no need to install in documents\Prepar3Dv5 Addons folder. That folder is for addons, that don’t register itself.
