regis902 6
Hello, I am having a repeatable CTD when loading the A330 in P3Dv5 HF1, kernalbase.dll. I was sure to disable antivirus on downloading and installing the aircraft. I have double checked that all aerosoft folders, P3D folder are excluded from Windows Defender antivirus and that all accounts have full permissions for these folders. I tried disabling trueglass and deleting the prepar3d.cfg file and shaders. I can select the aircraft from the start up menu, it loads to 100% then crashes while the screen is still black. I took the liberty of running the program that others having CTD issues were asked to run, results are below. david roch 2
Another Dave here.... with exactly the same problem. No matter the airport, the weather or any other parameter, P3Dv5 crashes when finishing loading the A330, after few seconds of black screen and a "program not responding" alert. Fresh reinstall as well, to no avail. Thanks! EDIT: I've just installed the A320-321. Same issue, P3D crashes when loading a flight.

Deputy Sheriffs mopperle 4162 Posted June 19, 2020 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted June 19, 2020 The kernelbase.dll error is the most weired one. In 99.9% of all cases it points to a broken systemfile. In some cases a Windows update solved it, in other cases a reinstall of all MSVisual C++ redistributables solved it and other had to do a fresh install of their Windows. david roch 2
Hi Otto, Sorry but no kernelbase.dll error here. The flight loads and P3D vanishes suddenly. No faulty event in Windows.
EastCoastCanadian 11
Yeah the A330 is a no go for me as well with CTD upon loading. No other planes do this.
Aerosoft Aerosoft Team [Inactive Account] 51558 Posted June 23, 2020 Aerosoft Share Posted June 23, 2020 We now had 13 systems where the aircraft crashes the sim investigated to some depth. In three cases it was a simple question of making sure the .net files were correct. The others were more complex and we could not point directly to an issue. Five of those users did a refresh of their system and did not have the issue anymore. That clearly indicates a problem with some OS files. That something like this happens with one product and not with another is very easy to explain. First of all we use the very latest compilers (makes the code faster) and not everybody does that. Secondly, every add-on uses different things, for example we use HTML files a lot, have a web browser running in the aircraft etc.

Installed the HF yesterday and installed the A330 and so far so good.
EastCoastCanadian 11
Oh and also Mathijs my issue was the VC runtime crash which I was getting with PMDG’s 747 as well but after the latest update from LM it’s solved on my end. Now I haven’t done a lot of testing but before I couldn’t load the A330 or the 747 and change views without it CTD with VC runtime. But that seems to be fixed with HF2 fingers crossed
