Fall_guy 1
Hi There, Windows 10 {latest update) . . . has removed file: C:\AEROSOFT\Mega Airport Frankfurt Professional V5\EDDFConfigV5.exe, from my system and quarantined the file as severe threat. Reason: Trojan:Win32/Occamy.C detected. Obviously I am very concerned and as a precaution have removed ALL my aerosoft products from my system. Hope you can investigate this and look forward to a SAFE update. Regards
Goofey007 24
Hi, I had the same problem. There was a possibility in Windows Security to restore the item. Which I have done. I remember a post here where it is mentioned that there are lately a lot of false positives and it is adviced to turn off any AV-security software, incl. Windows build in defender. I leave all my aerosoft products installed... However there is one issue now. After launching the config tool, it claims that the scenery is not registered in P3dv5. Please login to display this image. Please login to display this image. Which is untrue. I choose not to register it through this utility and close it (Not save&exit) Leaving alone this utility for now Johan
Aerosoft Aerosoft Team [Inactive Account] 51558 Posted May 25, 2020 Aerosoft Share Posted May 25, 2020 Yeah, we know of this false positive and it has been reported to Microsoft. Needless to say it is one of the dozens of false positives we see the last few weeks. Nearly every tool that changes files (as a config tool must do) is seen as dangerous. All our files are checked daily with three professional tools. They are safe.
Goofey007 24
Yeah,I was confident it is a false postive. Remains the fact that the config tool claimes that the scenery is not installed, which is untrue. There is a simular problem with London-Heathrow Prof for P3Dv5 config tool Thanks for looking into this Johan
Aerosoft Aerosoft Team [Inactive Account] 51558 Posted May 25, 2020 Aerosoft Share Posted May 25, 2020 I'll see if we can shed some light on that. Could you send us your add-ons.cfg?
Goofey007 24
Wilco. Also including screenshot of scenerys installed into P3Dv5 Please login to display this image. Thanks add-ons.cfg
Developer OPabst 2091 Posted May 25, 2020 Developer Share Posted May 25, 2020 Here we have source of the issue: NEVER install Sceneries or other Addons in the folder Documents\Prepar3D V5 Add-ons !!!! This is a folder to install add-ons that not register itself! Deinstall the products and use a Folder like D:\P3D-Addons\Aerosoft
Goofey007 24
Wauw , thanks for this feedback. 'use a Folder like D:\P3D-Addons\Aerosoft' I used to do this before I decided to uninstall P3Dv5&addons completely this weekend and make a new clean install. Because Prepar3D creates this folder ' Documents\Prepar3D V5 Add-ons', I thought I deviate from a 20 year old habit of not installing fsims & addons on the c-drive/windows system drive Boy was I wrong, I could slap myself in the face 'This is a folder to install add-ons that not register itself! ' I will write this one in big letters on my desktop Thanks for your time Johan
