Recommended Posts

I installed the a330 in P3D V5.

I can select the Aircraft at the menu, then I van see the Cockpit for around 2 second, but then I get a white screen and then a CTD.

Any Ideas?

Greetings

Bodo

The problem is the vcruntime140.dll. This dll exists in multiple versions on any PC, as many programs make use of it. So not sure if there is a conflict somewhere. In your screenshot above, I see multiple application an .NET errors nearly at the same time. What are they telling? For example the one at 10:27:30 or the ones at 10:25:14.

Steve, in this topic, we get a clear hint to vcruntime140.dll, which is totally different then what you see. So please lets stick to this one and not open anaother general CTD topic.

I installed Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2019 Redistributable, still the same problem,Then I removed GSX, but still the same problem.

The .net Errors were with WD Cloud.

May be a complete new installation of P3D V5 might help?

Not sure about this.

When you search google for vcruntime140.dll errors /crashes in combination with the errorcode in your screenshot in general or in combination, they all point to a major problem with the Windows installation. Extremly rarely it points to an appilcation. Many applications install their own version of vcruntime140.dll, but P3D uses the one located under \Windows\System32.

is P3DV4.5 using the samevcruntime140.dll,because P3D V4 is running stable. And how about the default airplanes? Do they use the same.dll?

I think this is not the problem. While 4.5 maybe also use this dll, as soon as in v5 is a new function that calls something in this dll, and if this dll is broken (or something else). this error occurs. Additionally this dll is used by many other applications outside P3D in parallel (see screenshot below). So it might well be that there is kind of a conflict with something else.

So this kind of problem is extremly hard to detect. But if there would be a major bug in the Bus causing this, every user would notice it.

  • 2 weeks later...

I found out that it has to do with my graphic card AMD 5700 RX.

A lot of users have problems with that graphic card, when changing sights. I can start p3D v5, select an default aircraft, change to outside sight, an thenselect the Airbus 330.At that time it works, just in cockpit sight.

So I have to wait for Hotfix to, or maybe nect driver of my graphics card will work.

Thanks for your help,anyway.

Greetings Bodo
