A_Pilot 70
Hey team, CRJ training pilot here, Not sure how important this is, but I noticed that The HGS Control Panel data entry is a little different to what I'm used to in the plane. Typically, we don't have to use the clear button to overwrite the previous entry, simply getting the data entry chevron allows us to directly input the new data, (and then the CLR button can be used to correct mistakes). Also, after a power cycle on the plane, the HCP entries all fallback to an unconfirmed entry indicated by a question mark at the end, requiring re-entry of the data. Also, STBY HCP modes default to a confirmation stage (indicated by a trailing question mark eg: VMC? AI?) Selecting "Enter" then clears the question mark, and if the mode is applicable to the A/C configuration, it jumps up to the ACT line on its own. This feature depends on the HCP version, however.
