Additional info in case it's relevant. I had FSX installed on this computer and uninstalled a while ago, but I'm not convinced it's 100% gone as some product installers still detect it on my system.

Yes, I think your assumption is correct. According to the log, the updater gets stuck when trying to retrieve the FSX version. The interesting thing is that it actually finds the FSX.exe file but can not open it. I made another version which adds some advanced error handling and even more logging. Please give it a try.

Here's the new file. 

 

I'm now getting an error message saying No Installed Products Found. The products folder is empty, but I own the A330 and CRJ Pro.

Update:

 

After reinstalling the latest version,  as_a330_prof.xml appeared in the products folder and the Updater is now working.
