If you want to keep your liveries you would need to take all the added livery entries from the aircraft.cfg file first and paste them in a safe place. Then perform the update and add the entries again in the aircraft.cfg. The numbering should already be in right order with the entries to directly copy them back into the aircraft.cfg.
