I tried to press the zoom + key, then p3d turned white and hung. Did not recover, but did not crash. I had to force quit. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Btw.: you can also use the mouse wheel to zoom in and out. I mostly did that and never had a crash. May be this helps at least as a temporary solution.
