Aerosoft Airbuses freezing and crash with PD3v.4.5

Recommended Posts

Hello;
I am currently having some problems to keep Aerosoft Airbuses A318/19/20/21 working during any flights attempts with my Sim Pd3v4.5. In most attempts Prepar D3 will freeze and then crash or just close while in the setting window for PD3 (CaptureA) and a Error msg appears on the screen. This will take place aprx. 2 or 3 attempts so far.  Aprx 3 attempt, I get passed that point, however at aprx 45min into the mission the system just freezes (CaptureC). FYI..So far this does not takes place when using any PMDG Vehicle only with Aerosoft Airbuses.

* (CaptureA) I then click continues and system crashes!

*I have already downloaded and installed that application M.NF and No Resolution noticed yet!

*I have brought the issue up to the Prepard Forum as well and they have advise to post that issue with Aerosoft Forum for Tech Spt as well while they look into.

Could you advise or share suggestions?.

Hi Mop,

Do you mean disable FS2Crew on the Configuration Page...Uncheck Voice Control to Button Control and back to Voice?...correct?

The Complete Error Msg?..I am confused!, The Error Msg that appears on the screen was attached (CaptureC). Guidance please?

Complete error message means complete content of the "Details" box and not only part of it. You can also find the error message in the Windows Eventviewer:

FS2Crew: Turning it of means not only on the Config Pack, but also in a way that it is not loaded at all when you start the sim.

No Ferd ;)

kernelbase and ucrtbase errors are the most weird ones, as they are telling you that something in your Windows environment is broken. This is very likely, as also FSDT software is involved (couatl.exe).

„but why does this only happen with the Airbus?“

Reason is very simple: the Airbus uses and relies heavily on core Windows functions and if one of those functions doesnt work correctly (e.g. due to broken system/driver files), the Airbus crashes. So he is not the problem itself, but he discovers it or is a victim of another, deeper problem.

How to solve this?

Hard to tell. Use Google search for the kernel and ucrtbase errors, make sure that your Windows is up to date by running multiple times the Windows Update function.

*No problem Mathijs, I read you clearly. Thanks for pointing that out. I have being communicating with FSDT forum in that regards. This started to happen after activating their latest Update. lots of trouble with it. So far got the GSX it's working again, however the Jetways created with Lv2 Expansion before the new update are not appearing. Very tedious process and no resolution yet.

*Thanks Mop...Will chk that out even thou I am not to clear yet how to proceed on your advise so working on it. Just a quick note: I just completed a flight with the A321 (KMIA to KATL) and surprisingly did completed with no freezes, great but very weird!!!...however the checklist got stuck at (After Takeoff) and did not advance. I did did thrusted back the lever and the CLIMB did not lift up as well the remaining checklist did not functioned. Basically, I did the rest of the flight manually since I was more concern that PD3 would crash, Very weird!!!. I will do another flight here in a few minutes to verify. Btw!..Its there a manual remedy to skip to the next checklist on the FMC panel if it happens again??

  • 2 weeks later...

Hi Mopp;

The problem still continuous with my system using any version of the Aerosoft producte ie. A3/18/19/20/21. This it's the last report of the attempt just this morning (See Below). This event its still occurring about to 45 minutes into the flight. Everything works smooth prior to this. Also, I need to add one other thing noticed. During the "After Start Checklist" and Flight Controls Check it's called out, the call out for "ROTORS" it's not heard. Was this eliminated from the checklist? Could you please advise?.

Note1:It seems that GSX it's not the root cause of the problem. I did a flight recently with it and reached cruise without it, then just recently did another one after rebooting several times and with GSX completed the whole flight. Weird as hell my friend.

Note2: Windows have being updated. Researched the matter posted previously "kernelbase and ucrtbase errors". Windows indeed was outdated and now it's updated correctly.

Hi @fernandito1969

If you haven't already tried it, it may help if you run the Windows system file checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files.

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/929833/use-the-system-file-checker-tool-to-repair-missing-or-corrupted-system

Also, I've fixed some crashes by reinstalling the latest graphics drivers using this tool:  https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

It's most effective if you select the 'safe mode' option.  Make sure you have the latest driver downloaded first.

I've never heard the 'rotors' checklist item - did you definitely hear it in a previous version?

Good luck,

Dave.

@fernandito1969

The error message in your last post is in no way related to the Airbus or even P3D. Seraching in Google I can see it got something to do with a card reader software.

As you have so many problems with core Windows files, I suggest to make a repair installation of your Windows, and in case it doesnt work, wipe your disc and do a fresh install of your PC.

Thanks Mopp & Djspatrick will take a look on the advise, try it out and post feedback. One quick question....I know this it's aside of this matter but have being looking through the manuals and try all switches that controls the panel lighting and could not find a switch to light up the FMC Panel could you point that out for me to correct this issue please?,

Note (Image): Red No Lighting on Panel....Green Lighting it's Good Panel and the rest of panels.

Hello Folks;

I am still experiencing the same problem here while using the Aerosoft vehicles A3/1819/20/21. Posted below it's the data from the viewer history. Could someone take a look at it and advise if I may have to refer this issue to Prepar3D?. This was the last flight attempt today. The most intriguing things about this issue it's that this past weekend I was able to complete a whole 2 hour flight. Once return to retest earlier this week, it's all happening again. System crashes aprx 30 minutes after splash screens appears, later on the programs freezes for a few seconds and then continues until the point when freezes, sound it's lost, and then the screen just goes as the image posted above on the topic. Please suggest or advise?

dxgi.dll is part of DirectX and if you check on that file via Google you see it is not uncommon for it to be replaced with an incorrect version by applications that are not nice. I would re-install Direct X; https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=35

Just a little more information about this error.

We saw this error with FSX, FSX:SE and P3Dv3 several years ago and it occurred after a Windows 10 Update.  It was resolved, but the Windows update that occurred two or three weeks ago has brought it back.  I've seen it myself, and I know of two others who have it.  It occurs randomly but infrequently for me and the others I know.

You can always try uninstalling and reinstalling Direct X as well as wiping your Graphics Drivers and installing the latest version.

Once again folks it happened the same way and timing last night after executing all steps and suggested steps listed above and looks like that its getting more complicated. See View Rep. below "9/14/19",this time on the Fault Module Name was "ntdll.dllFault" different from previous "Dxgi.dll"). On the next attempt last night amazingly the system did passed that point beyond without crashing (Push Back, Taxi, Take Off & Landing), however encountered some difficulty (plane began to act up out of control  banking left to right during the flight out of control). This morning made another attempt and and once again did crashed at the same point and got another different faul name event report this time "facilities.dll" with an error msg on the screen which appeared. Any advise?. Do you a think that I should completely un-install and re-install the Aerosoft Application?

Thank you for the report, however it is not necessary to continue to report this to us.  Referring to my reply to you (two posts up) you'll see this issue has nothing whatsoever to do with our software, and I also provided you with some things that may help with this issue.  Other than that, the best place to report this is to Lockheed Martin in their forums or via a support ticket with them. I haven't checked to see if there are any new threads about this on the LM site, but there are many past reports about this in their forums.

Since this issue has nothing to do with our software (other than it happened to be running at the time), I will now close this thread.

My very best wishes!
