David,

I had to remove the photo you posted, sir.

If you post a photo, you need to have taken the photo yourself. If one takes a photo from another website and posts it anywhere without the expressed permission from the person who took the photo then you are in violation of the copyright. Worse, the website you post it to (Aerosoft in this case) is now considered a party to the copyright infringement that you created.  If you have permission to post someone else's photo then you need to include that permission which must also include contact information for the photo's owner). If you took a photo yourself and then uploaded the photo to our site then simply edit the photo to include YOUR copyright or otherwise demonstrate your ownership of the photo.

If you didn't take the photo yourself, then instead of uploading a photo you can easily easily add a link to your post to the where the photo was legally uploaded, and the photo will then be grabbed by our forum software and displayed, but there will also be a link to the website where the photo was legally uploaded, thus avoiding copyright issues.

This is the THIRD TIME I've had to remove illegal photos from our forums in less than a week.  Guys, it MUST STOP.

For our user base... if you see a photo someone has uploaded, please click on the photo. If it opens the photo without taking you to another website (opens the photo directly) and there is no permission to use the photo in the post and owner's contact information) then please use the Report function to report the post to us.

Many thanks!
