Missing bitmaps in new XP 11 download purchase.

• I am missing the files below in red from my bitmaps folder. I downloaded a newly purchased XP11 download version. Didn't touch anything. It installed it to the deskttop. When I tried to open XP11 it said "could not open the graphics interface and accused me of moving the xp directory out of the folder which I did not do. I discovered the missing bitmaps after looking at the log file. But now what do I do to fix this?

if   'C:\Users/Dad/Desktop/X-Plane 11/'  is the install directory of X-Plane,

you have to start X-plane from inside of this folder.

Using a copy of xplane.exe placed on your desctop (or somewhere else) will not work.

 

Please check the existence of these files:

 

"C:\Users/Dad/Desktop/X-Plane 11/Resources/bitmaps/black.png"

"C:\Users/Dad/Desktop/X-Plane 11/Resources/bitmaps/black_opaque.png"
"C:\Users/Dad/Desktop/X-Plane 11/Resources/bitmaps/white.png"
"C:\Users/Dad/Desktop/X-Plane 11/Resources/bitmaps/checkerboard.png"
