Hello,

I have a question about B043 reserves. Today I planned a flight from KLAX-PHNL (PFPX v2.03) and decided to use B043 reserves instead of US Flag. The flight time within Class II airspace as per the OFP was 4:02 or 242 minutes. I understand that under B043 the en route reserve is calculated as 10% of the airtime within Class II (as opposed to 10% of the total airtime for US Flag). However as can be seen on the attached OFP, the B043 reserve was calculated as 0:12, which is only 5% of the Class II airtime. I have checked under the Company Data / Fuel Policy for B043 and indeed 10% of airtime within Class II is input.

Any ideas why 10% wasn't used in this case- is it a glitch with PFPX, is the Fuel Policy setup incorrect, or is it somehow impacted by EOPTS/EDTO planning?

Many thanks for any input/assistance.

Kind regards

Michael.
