Request for future update

Featured Replies

Hello

Is it possible to make the updater ignore the add-on.xml check? As many others, I use the Lorby organizer and keep all my Aerosoft addons in one add-on.xml. The updater fails to update unless it detects the originally created add-on.xml for each product.

Thanks for your consideration.

No, sorry. That would kill the functionality of the updater as the add-on location is taken from the add-on.xml file. I suggest that you ask the Lorby guys to change their program to not fiddle with files provided by other manufacturers.

Hans is complete correct, to modify the addon function of the add-on.xml is a not helpful (not acceptable) approach for a tool. The idea to have the config (of the addon related entries) in the addon folder and reposibility is part of the P3D SDK and concept, to brake it, makes the tool that do it, not P3D compatible.

Such tools don't help, they only generate issues and support and at the end of the day problems on user side.

It the same thing with tools/addons modify default files, where nobody knows and care about side effects to other "role conform" addons.
