NDA... NDA......  :-))))   let's cross fingers it will be an open platform with SDK. If this is the case, that will be THE flight simulator we've been waiting for !!

That's when you talk to me from the heart, hopefully it will be a developer-open flight simulator. Then the success is guaranteed.

Maybe... but this has been announced under the xBox label - I expect everything to be bound to the xBox marketplace and the windows store and this would be very far away from anything I would consider 'open'.

Every aircraft has the registration code AS-MGSnn:

What does MGS stands for? Microsoft Game Studios? Well 🙂

What does AS stands for? Active Sky? Aerosoft? ??? 😉

Kind regards
John

ORBX has been in no way involved so far and only learned about it via the press release.

Kind regards, Michael

That means that Microsoft does its own thing and does not have to consider the big publishers. The P3D for the Simmer, the Microsoft Flight Simulator for the gamers!?

What's written in the licence contract between Microsoft and Lockheed Martin?

Would Microsoft accept this splitting "P3D for the Simmer, MSFS2020 for the gamers"?

If AS in the AS-MGSnn registration key stands for Aerosoft and so if Aerosoft is involved in this new MS FlightSimulator project, then Aerosoft has to explain some things to the customers . . .

Has Aerosoft any information about it?

Locked until an Aerosoft rep can respond and end speculation.
