slatimer 0
Bought ENTO today. When trying to install, I receive “cannot find flight simulator”. How to install in P3Dv4.4? Thanks Sean
Deputy Sheriffs Herman 1591 Posted May 1, 2019 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted May 1, 2019 Sandefjord (ENTO) is not compatible with P3Dv4. From the product page (emphasis added): System requirements: Microsoft Flight Simulator X (with SP1 & SP2, Acceleration), FSX: Steam Edition or Lockheed Martin - Prepar3D V2 3.0 GHz Processor (Intel Core2Duo advised) Windows XP / Vista / 7 / 8 2 GB RAM (4 GB advised) 3D Graphic card with at least 512MB (1024MB advised) .net Framework 3.5 or higher (using Aerosoft-Launcher) The installer can't find v4 because it's not designed to. It's possible to trick it into installing, but there are no guarantees that it will work. Remember, P3Dv4 is a 64 bit sim and not all 32 bit add-ons are going to work. slatimer 0
Thanks Herman. Another closed post stated it works with P3Dv4. how does one trick it into installing?
Deputy Sheriffs mopperle 4162 Posted May 1, 2019 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted May 1, 2019 You might install it into a fake FSX folder and then copy the files over and add it manually to P3D. But no guarantee an d support.
Deputy Sheriffs Herman 1591 Posted May 1, 2019 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted May 1, 2019 If it doesn’t like just a folder, try adding a dummy FSX.exe by creating say an empty file with notepad, saving and then renaming as FSX.exe. Again though as Otto and I noted, there’s no support if it doesn’t work or look right.
