Dave,

That’s fab news!  Is it possible to map the control to something the lightning doesn’t use like propeller pitch??

Will the new cockpit be available for FSX or is it just P3D only now?

   Hi Dave

Yes that might not be a bad idea,( assuming having no prop in the .cfg doesn't prevent it) ,  The tricky part is getting the diamonds to physically dilate (they don't just move in and out , they shrink at the same time.)

    Sure , FSX  and P3d.

Blimey!  That does sound tricky.  Glad it’s for FSX too.  Every time I use your Lightnings I’m always reminded what a nice add on it is.  Really shows the development of the aircraft well, it’s tremendous fun to try and fly it as well.

I remember as a child watching a Lightning display at a very wet Abingdon when I was about 5.  I think it’s sold me on flying for life!

 Hi Dave

Well I got it working ok ... in p3d ..

but it's all to cock again in FSX .  Such a pain having to  work in 3 sims + tacpak !

I have to admit though I have been distracted .......... how's your aircraft recognition?

Hi Dave,

Yes, I can see your problem. I must confess that I've removed FSX now, and am solely on P3D (v4.5 and 5.1) these days.

Have you tried this one?

As I created the models initially for FSX I can't leave them in the lurch .

Saab Draken ?  Not a model I've come across . But when I say distracted , I mean they are the models I'm creating ... when I hit a problem with one I switch to one of the others ... saves me getting bored  :0)

 Cheers

Want me to have a look at it?

Thanks Dave , but I need to redo the transparency settings in the MDL so they are compatible with FSX , and if you have  dropped FSX you couldn't test it anyway .

Once I have  sorted it  I will be calling on you and the rest of the beta team to test it though.

Cheers

Hope everyone's doing well, hang on in there hopefully the end's in sight.....

Just wondering how the F2.A project is coming along?

 Hi Cameron

I second that  :0)..  for Covid and the F2A as well !!  working on the cockpit lighting as we speak ( write ?)

Lord it's proving a pain...... textures and methods that work in FSX don't work in P3D and vice versa.  Still as the man says " I've started so I will finish "

It's looking good!! Work's kept me away from FSX for a few weeks but I saw recently that Ian Black has bought a T5 and brought it back to Binbrook for restoration so I thought I'd dust off those Avons.... still my favourite plane and my favourite addon ;) plus Manschy is developing his Bruggen for FSX so the F2.A will have somewhere to visit in RAFG..

Hope you're keeping well

C.
