PF and PM simultaneously on IVAO

I thought to write here a brief tutorial about how to use Ivap simultaneously on 2 pc for CFD, with just one Airplane/MTL visible to ATC, in order to be online on IVAO both PF (Pilot Flying) and PM (Pilot Monitoring). I hope it may help 

 

FIVE EASY STEPS:

 

1. Pilot 1 open the port 6809 on his router

 

2. Pilot 1 download and install Ivai: https://www.ivao.aero/softdev/ivai/download.htm

 

3. Pilot 1: open Ivai, choose a server and press start

 

4. Pilot 1: when in the cockpit launch Ivap, press “conn” and in the server window erase the server indicated (e.g. EU6 ….) and type: “localhost” , then Connect (now your Callsign appears in Ivai)

 

5. Pilot 2: when in the cockpit launch Ivap, press “conn” and in the server window erase the server indicated (e.g. EU6 ….) and type Pilot 1 IP address (e.g. 85.32.469.156), then Connect (now Pilot2 Callsign appears in Pilot 1’s Ivai).

 

That’s it! Now both pilots are online but ATC will see just one Airplane/MTL. Both pilots can hear and speak to ATC
