A320 LIVERY P3D v4

Recommended Posts

Yes but you will need to do a few config edits and replace the texture.cfg file inside the texture folder with one (of the same A/C type) from a P3Dv4 livery.

Take the FSX file " air_france_fgrxf_aerosoft319_goldstar_textures.zip"   from Avsim as an example

1) once downloaded open the texture folder of the downloaded A/C and inside that will be a Texture.cfg file, replace that with one from an installed A319 so it reads

[fltsim]
fallback.1=..\..\Aerosoft A318-A319 Professional Base\Tex_FB_VC
fallback.2=..\..\Aerosoft A318-A319 Professional Base\Tex_FB_A31X

2) Put the texture folder inside the correct Aircraft so in this case the A319 Professional CFM

3) change the Aircraft entry inside the read me file from this

[FLTSIM.x]
title                            = Airbus A319-100 Air France 'New Colours' F-GRXF
sim                                = A319
model                            =
panel                            =
sound                            =
texture                          = F-GRXF
kb_checklists                    = AirbusA321_check
kb_reference                     = AirbusA321_ref
atc_id                            = F-GRXF
atc_airline                      = Air France
atc_flight_number              = 818
ui_manufacturer                 = Airbus
ui_type                           = A319-112 CFM
ui_variation                     = Air France 'New Colours' F-GRXF
ui_typerole                      = Commercial Airliner
ui_createdby                       = Aerosoft
atc_parking_types               = GATE,RAMP
atc_parking_codes               =
description                        = Airbus A319 - 112 CFM /

to this

[FLTSIM.x]
title                            = Aerosoft A319 professional Air France 'New Colours' F-GRXF
sim                                = A319
model                            = DAIBA
panel                            =
sound                            =
texture                          = F-GRXF

atc_parking_codes               = AFR
description                        = Airbus A319 - 112 CFM /

make sure you change the Model to the correct P3D4 version as the FSX ones are i think named something else ..if you dont know which one to use then  have a look at other A/C in the CFG and see which ones match yours and see what model its set to... as you see i have used       model   = DAIBA

In the read me file there is a con fig entry that you need to edit , the main one is     model .... with that one under FSX its blank , you need to add a P3D4 model to it and the options are ..   CFM...CFMSHRK..CFMSHRKEW , as its the non Sharklet model you need to add CFM .. so it looks something like this..

[FLTSIM.x]
title                    = Aerosoft A320 professional BRUSSELS AIRLINES ¨TOMORROWLAND¨ OO-SNF
sim                    = A320
model                    =CFM
panel                    =
sound                    =
texture                    = BRUSSELS_AIRLINES_OO-SNF
kb_checklists                =
kb_reference                =
atc_id                    = OO-SNF
atc_airline                = BRUSSELS AIRLINES
atc_flight_number            = 226
ui_manufacturer                = Airbus
ui_type                    = A320-214 CFM
ui_variation                = BRUSSELS AIRLINES ¨TOMORROWLAND¨ OO-SNF
ui_typerole                = Commercial Airliner
ui_createdby                = Aerosoft
atc_parking_types            = GATE, RAMP
atc_parking_codes               = BEL
description.

another thing to make sure is that you copy and past a texture.cfg file from another P3D4 CFM A320 or edit the one in the repaints texture folder so it reads just ..

[fltsim]
fallback.1=..\..\Aerosoft A320-A321 Professional Base\Tex_FB_VC
fallback.2=..\..\Aerosoft A320-A321 Professional Base\Tex_FB_A320

some repaints will work some wont , i have not tried this one yet but give it a go .
