Svalbard4XPlane - Svalbard Scenery for X-Plane

Svalbard4XPlane is a scenery package for X-Plane 11, developed by Maps2XPlane in cooperation with Stairport Sceneries. It covers the Norwegian archipelago Svalbard in the Arctic Ocean, north of the Polar circle between 74. and 81. latitude. Svalbard is not covered by the X-Plane default mesh. Thus the scenery package Svalbard4XPlane does not only fill with its custom terrain mesh a gap in the X-Plane world, but also includes three detailed airports and two heliports.

 

You can look forward to the following locations: The Barentsburg Heliport (ENBA) and the Pyramiden Heliport (ENPY), the Ny-Ålesund Airport (ENAS) and the Svea Airport (ENSA), and of course the main airport Svalbard Airport, Longyear (ENSB) as well as the nearby main settlement of Svalbard, Longyearbyen.

 

 

Key features:

• Custom terrain mesh covering the entire Svalbard archipelago - about 61.000 square kilometers
• High resolution terrain model with detailed coastlines, shapes of glaciers and other landscape features
• Where required, manually modeled terrain details e.g. around the airports and heliports - sloped runways
• Photorealistic texturing for the terrain mesh for a summer and a winter-representation of the landscape
• 3 Airports and 2 Heliports with high detailed custom objects and realistic night lightening
