Help finding Airbus VC light switches in the dark

Recommended Posts

Hi there, how do you guys first find the light switches at night in the Airbus Professional VC, when starting 'cold and dark?

The only way I was able to overcome a black VC and no sign of where the switches are was to use the Time Preview feature in P3D to temporarily shift to daytime to locate the light switches. Which is a bit of an 'immersion cheater'.

Grateful for any hints or tips, many thanks;

Chris.

Simply by practicing just to give you an example: When loading the Airbus in C&D at night I switch to the overhead panel (easy to do with the view system and the I know where to click to power it up and turn the lights on:

Between the digits ther are the 2 BATT switches and below the green GPU switch. Clicking on them brings a bit more but still dark:

Straight below the now blue GPU switch "northwest" of the glowing EMER EXIT LT swich is the OVH INT Lt. where the mouse pointer becomes a hand; you dial it up an you get enough light to find the DOME LT switch

From now on everything is easy to find

Of course having kind of virtual flashlight would be fine ;)

You might also try increasing the Gamma just a bit in your graphics card settings. This can help tremendously!

Best wishes!

Great idea Dave; if that doesn't work I might cheat & tweak one of the customer panel states from full Cold & Dark to enable Ground Power and turn on the dome light :)
