samigasi 0
Hello Yesterday I downloaded the latest AIRAC Cycle 1811 and successfully installed it. I wanted to test it with the tool AivlaSoft EFB v1. When I wanted to choose the airport LSGG (Geneva), the data provider told me:Navigation data runway ident 04 and 22 at airport LSGG could not be assigned to simulator runway. LSGG has in real live the Runways 05 and 23. Can this be changed for the next cycle? Or can I correct this myself in NavDataPro? Greetings Samigasi
srcooke 422
The runways at LSGG are in fact 04/22 It is likely your scenery is incorrect which should be updated.
samigasi 0
Hello srcooke Thanks for the answer. Wow actually. Is it always like that? I thought it would be 05/23 because on all charts there are always these numbers on it. Then I must probably change it in prepar3d. Therefore the topic is finished. Thank you and greetings
Deputy Sheriffs Tom A320 4915 Posted October 21, 2018 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted October 21, 2018 Because the magnetic pole of the earth is not fixed but moves around the magnetic bearings change over the time. When it happens that the bearing difference is around 10° the runway identifiers are getting changed to reflect the current magnetic bearing again.
