Doc_Z 1
Out of the blue, Malwarebytes quarantined SIMStarter as ransomware. Is there any reason this may have happened? After setting exclusion in MB and redownloading, it will not start.
Deputy Sheriffs mopperle 4162 Posted August 16, 2018 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted August 16, 2018 When you downloaded it from Aerosoft, unfortunately one of those false positives. Uninstall SImstarter, redownload it, turn off Malwarebytes while installing, make exclusion for all sim related folders and then it should work again. Far better solution: get rid of MB and simply use Windows Defender. No need to spend money for AV Software.
Doc_Z 1
The ransomware alert came months after installation. I reinstalled etc. and things seem OK, although I lost all my profiles. Strange incident.
