Hi I have downloaded a repaint for the airbus A319 professional and installed it manually. When it loads in P3Dv4 the cockpit is black any ideas 

First idea: You did not read the manual installation guide.

 

Ideas to get it running:

 

1. replace the content of the texture.cfg in the livery folder with following lines

 

      [fltsim]
      fallback.1=..\..\Aerosoft A318-A319 Professional Base\Tex_FB_VC
      fallback.2=..\..\Aerosoft A318-A319 Professional Base\Tex_FB_A31X

 

You downloaded a repaint which wasn´t corrected in the folders used; there some names changed with the new product and this needs to be corrected.

 

2. In case the aircraft.cfg entry has a line reading "Model =" only

 

   then you have to add to this line in case of the A319 CFM

  Model = DAIBA

 

  in case the aircraft is the A319 IAE

  Model = GDBCF

 

 Then save the aircraft.cfg and restart the sim. But only add the 5 letter code if the Model line reads only "model="

Hi Stefan I have changed A319 CFM Model=DAIBA it doesn't alter the cockpit but I am getting the rear half of the plane black as well 

And have you tried the livery manager?

Yes it will not open in the livery manger I can only put it on manually. 

And what file is that?

Okay, it seems that file is not 100% in the correct format. Best talk to the creator.
