airnz515 1
Not so much a problem, but more of a cosmetic issue, whenever I start the engines, half the fan spinner cone becomes blurry (see no. 1 engine in picture). Thanks. Please login to display this image.
PineappleWizard 44
Yeah it would be nice if they up the resolution on that texture. From the wingview forward of the engine you can nearly count the pixels. I'd also like to point out the texture needs tweaking around the edges, as some white texture has creeped on to the edge, making the spinning animation look rather unsightly. Have a look, you can see the white coloring on the edge, looks more like a spinning pancake than fan blades almosthttps://streamable.com/ws2u7
Stefan Hoffmann 4160
1. The resolution of the spinner is good. Not worse than in other AAA addons. 2. The engine fan white edge is correctly observed as not fully correctly displayed, but a bit more investigation had showed you that it is not the fault of our textures. It is the coarse shadow calculation of your sim. You can see that easily on the dark edge in the air intake bottom, which is not in the textures and that the small wings on the engine not casts a clean shadow, but "jumpy squares". That makes shadows not begin correctly at the shadow casting objects and lets to a certain point light pass through solid objects. Try the fanblades in full shadow (f.ex. the left one in this case), and the bright edge will be gone. You will find also other components of the aircraft, where the shadows start ca. 30 centimeters behind the actual object. This is due the shadow calculation algorithm. We a sure that future versions of the sim will become better in that aspect.
