Nice shots. The last one one reminds me one time I went to london and the skies over Heathrow were just like that. Amazing traffic.

Why is it theres no brake fan on the flight deck?

330’s brake fan is an optional equipment, I think for most of the A330 doesn’t have the brake fan

A lot of the A332s have brake fans, the 333s don’t

Guys,

I've had an important family matter come up, and I'm not able to stream or make the flight on our Discord channel today.

My sincere apologies.

Hey folks,

Might have been asked before but is the A330 coming with different engine variants?

Thanks!

Yeah, asked a LOT, many posts here in the forum on that.  We MIGHT add different engines at some point in the future, but no promises.  I'm guessing, but I'd say that IF we do, it will be an update for the new MSFS sim, but again, that's a guess.

Don't worry though, we'll have non-343 liveries modeled by repainters, and it's a little thing having the engine model and different engine display. It's all make believe anyway.

Are you leaving the door open for User mods such as tweaking the Fuel Capacity, ZFW, MTOW options for the laymen users here. Because while it may seem a bit pedantic, I do plan to simulate some of the later build A330-343HGW versions that have the capability to do quite long flights. Note : the edits in question mainly pertain to the EFB, Aircraft Fuel Planner, Weight and Balance calculations necessary for Takeoff Performance.

Yes, of course, how could we stop you?

As the clip on the window sill is blocked by the EFB we had to find a new spot for the prints. Left click will open it in a 2d windows (easier to read) and right click removes it.  Everybody who has ever flown on the flight deck of an airliner knows these bits of paper are always there. A cockpit without them simply lacks something important!

Love it! Very “real” position!

Bonjour,

Est-il prévu une livrée Air France ?

Cordialement.

Hello,

In this thread, it is ask of you to speak in english.

As for your question, Air France uses GE engines where as the current modeled aircraft are RR engines. So no, there will not be a Air France Livery in the release product. However, I'm sure that someone from the community will be doing a AFR livery for it once released.

Additionally, Air France only operates the A330-200, but Aerosoft will release only a A330-300 (with RR engines) initially.

It seems you have reverted back to have more reflections on the cockpit screens, which I really like. Will this feature in the final product? I always felt the screens in the A32X Prof looked a bit stale.

Yes, as I wrote I am not totally happy with that.

But it is not an upgrade but a new aircraft. An aircraft that shares a lot of the system with the smaller busses but we decided a while back to share all those developments with the existing customers. If you bought the A320 series on release you now have a lot of fully redone systems.  From completely new cabin pressure systems, via fully new pneumatics to a lot of new features in the MCDU.  Months of development work you basically got for free. That's why I feel it is reasonable to ask the price.

Compare it to other add-on developers... See how they resell the same code over and over again. I do not say they are wrong, every developer does that. But at least we try to make it palatable.  The average Aerosoft customer  over close to 10 of our products.  Look at the update price of the CRJ professional.....

I’ll buy it Mr. Kok for sure...I appreciate you’re trying to calm the prices of your products.

best wishes

Lorenzo

Read the release notes. On the manuals, could there a be a chance you delay the aircraft because of that or did you mean that manual would get delayed? Thanks for whoever clears that up for me😁

Here's what Mathijs stated with regard to manuals in the linked post in his post just above:

"Manuals

Because our Test Manager is on sick leave I had to take over those task. This causes some delays with the manuals. The final one (Step-By-Step) can normally only be completed at the very end of the development but that will now be pushed beyond the release"

While English isn't his primary language, he's very good at communicating in it. I feel certain his intent in what I quoted is that the release is still on schedule for December 9, with that manual coming somewhat later. Since there are several manuals (9 in the A318-A321 Pro) some are likely not to be delayed. No further definition of somewhat later. So in answer to your question, that manual is what will be delayed.

My private opinion is that anyone with familiarity with the current A318-A321 Pro line, especially if they're taken the time to work all the way through the included tutorial/step-by-step, will have little or no difficulty flying the A330 Pro. Sure, we'll get a lot more questions that would ordinarily be answered in the manual/tutorial, but we'd rather get the Big Bus in your hands as committed to by December 9.

Ohhhh Great.  Real pilots are getting fired for having porn on the flight decks, now sim pilots will get fired for the same thing!

Well, Mathijs did promise realism!

Would you compare it with "Early Access" ala Steam? I don't mind EA but good to know beforehand :).

I got Frankfurt today in preparation for this :). Not sure if my hw can handle both EDDF and this but I plan to upgrade anyway ahead of MSFS.

I am not a fan of Early Access normally as it is really a means to get money to continue a development most of the time and that's not something we need. But yeah, the term might apply.

No, the most important manuals will be done Vol1 and Vol4 and Vol 3 and 4 are more or less superseded with the EFB. It's the Step-by-Step that always the issue as you can really only complete it when the product is complete.  Now that one will be delayed.

I hope they made clear that was a beta. That problem should now be solved.
