MCDU Battery fault

Hi folks. The MCDU doesn't work on batteries as it should (QR: Thales FM2 page 4). While on ground, the plane normally runs on external power or APU. In case of a loss of that power supply, vital systems have batteries to back them up. The MCDU of the predecessor ran on batteries, so is it a bug or intended and if intended why? Imagine you do a lenghty MCDU reload and all the sudden the power winks out, the MCDU goes blank and you have to start all over...

What you are requesting is an abnormal procedure/function. We model only normal ops. In the old bus it was just wrong modeled.
AC is required for screens and MCDU--> External Power, APU or engine GEN's.
