Arclight 0
I'm carrying out a re-install of the Airbus. When running AS Updater to install 1.0.1.0, I get the following message: Downloading and unpacking Version_1010\Airplanes.zip... Installing Version_1010\Airplanes.zip... Downloading and unpacking Version_1010\Documentation.zip... Installing Version_1010\Documentation.zip... Downloading and unpacking Version_1010\Readme.zip... Installing Version_1010\Readme.zip... Error while installing Version_1010\Readme.zip: System.IO.IOException: The process cannot access the file 'C:\Users\Alec_\Documents\Aerosoft\Aerosoft A318-A319 Professional\Readme.txt' because it is being used by another process. at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath) at System.IO.FileStream.Init(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, Int32 rights, Boolean useRights, FileShare share, Int32 bufferSize, FileOptions options, SECURITY_ATTRIBUTES secAttrs, String msgPath, Boolean bFromProxy, Boolean useLongPath, Boolean checkHost) at System.IO.FileStream..ctor(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, FileShare share) at System.IO.Compression.ZipFileExtensions.ExtractToFile(ZipArchiveEntry source, String destinationFileName, Boolean overwrite) at ASUpdater.MainWindow.HandleDownloadComplete(Object sender, AsyncCompletedEventArgs e) Update cancelled! It points out that a readme.txt is being used, but that file is not open. On occasions, that will be replaced with one of the manuals (Vol 6 if I remember correctly). Again, that document isn't open. All worked previously with updates, so unsure as to what has happened now. All files/folders were removed prior to the re-install. This also includes anything RAAS related. Thanks in advance for any information you can provide.
Deputy Sheriffs masterhawk 799 Posted July 25, 2018 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted July 25, 2018 Try to run the updater as admin, please.
Arclight 0
Ran as admin, the update has been installed successfully (writing now in blue). I have now gone ahead and selected to install experimental updates. Updater is being run as admin, but I now have a similar error, with a different process coming up as being used. Deputy Sheriffs masterhawk 799 Posted July 25, 2018 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted July 25, 2018 Ok, possible reasons. 1. P3Dv4 is still running and not properly closed. Try to update direct after reboot. 2. An AV tool is blocking/scanning the file. Try to disable AV and set an exclusion for the updater and the install folder. Arclight 0
Setting exclusions seems to have done the trick Many thanks for your help masterhawk!
