maxro 7
Currently, I have 16 Gb of 2133 MHz DDR4 RAM on a Z270F, with an I7-7700k (water cooled) and a 1080FE. I was wondering if upgrading to a higher speed, like 2400MHz or even higher, would improve P3D v4.3 Performance? If so, which RAM should I get? PatrickZ 300
Not really, the difference would be negligible. With specialised software you'd be able to measure it, but we're talking about milliseconds here. It's not worth the money.
maxro 7
Even tough LM recommends 2666 MHz?
Deputy Sheriffs mopperle 4161 Posted July 15, 2018 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted July 15, 2018 Well LM mainly recommends what's state of the art. And of course the complete hardware should fit together to avoid real bottlenecks. But 2133MHz compared to 2400MHz isn't really a bottleneck.
