Emi 5161 Posted July 12, 2018 Share Posted July 12, 2018 Hi, according to the FCOM the MCDU1 is powered by the AC ESS SHED and MCDU2 by AC2. Both are AC operated, so BAT only will not be sufficient to run the MCDU. Note that while the FMGS is powered by DC2 the MCDU however is still only AC powered. I believe this is to avoid loosing all the Data you have entered to the FMGS when AC power is lost, for example in dual GEN FAIL, while waiting for the RAT to come online and bring the left MCDU back (and many more essential thingies) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
